As a pureblood user I think I should remind you that whatever your feelings are in the end you don't have a vote in what way other people spend there scarce spare time. You can't expect a volunteer developer to keep on working on a project he feels not happy with. So no, in this case what users want really isn't part of the consideration in this matter. This sense of entitlement show so often by my fellow users really drives me nuts.

I don't know if you are referring to me or you as a "pureblood user" (whatever that means)

no, I don't dictate how people spend their time, and they don't dictate what software I choose to use, test, debug, advocate and train others on.

software only used by the people coding it is pretty maningless (outside of that small group)

Every person who is a 'developer' for one piece of software is also a 'mere user' of other software.
