As an (among other things) Linux end-user who is certainly guilty of killing time in video games, I have to say all of this is a very exciting and very welcome development.

I am especially pleased to see the heterogeneous CPU story being tackled in earnest — and what's even better, in a more sophisticated way than the existing in-kernel ITMT/schedutil thing which is just a glorified greedy choice algorithm.

agree, as someone who has been forced to optimize workloads on heterogeneous CPUs with suboptimal vendor patches, those really are both promising areas and I really hope to find the time to experiment with this a bit.
