Kernel prepatch 6.9-rc5

Linus has released 6.9-rc5 for testing.

But if you ignore those oddities, it all looks pretty normal and things appear fairly calm. Which is just as well, since the first part of the week I was on a quick trip to Seattle, and the second part of the week I've been doing a passable imitation of the Fontana di Trevi, except my medium is mucus.

qca6390 regression in 6.9-rc5

Anyone else out here have qca6390 bluetooth. Currently, there is a regression in rc5 that will prevent these devices from working after disable/re-enable of bluetooth or after a warm boot. Does anyone else happen to have this hardware and use bluetooth? E.g. Dell XPS 13 9310 has this hardware. I am just curious how many might be affected by this.

If you are affected by this problem, there is a fix being discussed on the linux-bluetooth mailing list.

Love how Linus doubles his merge commit log as a personal diary lol
