Wine 9.0 released

Version 9.0 of the Wine Windows-compatibility system has been released. "This release represents a year of development effort and over 7,000 individual changes. It contains a large number of improvements that are listed below. The main highlights are the new WoW64 architecture and the experimental Wayland driver."

Will Microsoft align Windows with Wine when Wine version (9) will exceed that of Windows (11)?

One can only hope Windows will be long forgotten before Wine reaches version 95. Or MS does, again.

I guess they'll abandone Windows and direct their remaining users towards Wine. As they did with the web browser.

Sadly, they have long discovered another business where they can wreak havoc: social media for software developers. It seems to be easier to go harvest the behavioral surplus there.

It's that weird stable userspace ABI for Linux programs. It even has its own executable format.

It's was the stable ABI for Linux before glibc broke it
