### Korean LoCo to elect Junsang Moon as representative for next 2 years
term (2023. 12. 20. ~ 2025. 12. 19.) ###

Youngbin Han, on behalf of the Korean LoCo, reports Junsang Moon as the new
representative of the Ubuntu Korean Community. We are provided details of

### Ubuntu LoCo Council elections are open! ###

Merlijn Sebrechts tells us the Ubuntu Loco Council elections are now on.
We're given some details on this election, including votes need to be made

### LibreOffice 24.2: Best New Features ###

Arindam reminds us that LibreOffice 24.2 is currently in beta and points
out the change of versioning scheme used by LibreOffice. In this post
Arindam writes about best new features found in the 24.2 release, which
includes some screenshots with some showing the 'before' and 'now'
differences. We're told how we can test this beta, with a link to download.
Arindam closes saying this is a "moderate" release that fixes many bugs.

### KDE Plasma 6 Beta 2 Released For Testing ###

Michael Larabel writes about the second beta of KDE Plasma 6.0 desktop; now
available for testing, along with KDE Gear applications, and KDE Frameworks

### GRUB 2.12 Bootloader Brings SDL2 Support, Boot Loader Interface ###

Michael Larabel writes about Grub 2.12 which is the new stable version.
Many of the grub fixes that have landed over the last 2.5 years are
mentioned, which makes the Grub 2.12 "a big release". Most distros will
update, whereas Ubuntu 23.10 already runs the 2.12 release candidate.

### GUADEC 2024 Conference Will Be Held in Denver for the GNOME 46 Desktop

Marius Nestor informs us that the GUADEC 2024 Conference will be held in
Denver Colorodo 19 - 24 July, 2024. In the many details we're reminded what
GUADEC is, that Denver is the codename for GNOME 47, and that the alpha
release of GNOME 46 will land in January 2024.
