Well said.

We don't have to agree with each other (and on this particular occasion I don't), but you have to respect each others' decisions. I'm well known for railing against the route computing has gone down (word processors, databases) because I think it's taken a wrong turn, but NEVER EVER turn it into a personal attack.

And as I always say, TRY AND UNDERSTAND THE OTHER PERSON'S POV. Half the time you'll find the error is in YOUR perception of the situation. And if you really want to win the discussion, the easy way to do it is to ask them to explain their logic - and point them at their mistake to let THEM find it.

I agree with tomas - if you don't like systemd, go help OpenRC, go help SystemV, go DO something. I've tried to guide LibreOffice down the route I want, I'm now working on Scarlet. I'm trying to change the world. Just accept that a couple of people versus a Juggernaut is going to have a hard time of it :-(

Cheers,
Wol
