I've had some interactions with Jeff during this process. Seems like a smart guy and while I don't want to speak for him. I think he started last week with an anger level dialed up to 11, and now he's had a bit more time to process, has decided he's still angry, but probably at a level 4.

The confusion around this event has been really frustrating, if people lose trust over Red Hat, or are angry at Red Hat, it should really be because of something we did or a choice we made - not what the headline grabbers are saying we did.

I've noticed a lot of the commenter subscriber numbers are about 50,000. I guess it's rent-a-mob. They obviously came here some while ago, went away, and this was an excuse to come back :-(

Cheers,

I'm #60000 and I subscribed like in 2009. #50000 are fairly old mavens!

And they are losing trust and angry at RH for something you did and the choice you made. Pretending its just because of the "headline grabbers" isn't going to make that better.

And there is no confusion, you just don't like the pushback to a bad decision.
