One of my favorite tools is written in OCaml: Unison https://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/ I almost use it daily, and apart from a couple of cross-platform/cross-version issues it's been a fantastic tool to work with.

I know OCaml is very far from a toy language but my comment stands.

I know this comments section looks a bit like social media but the comments here are not as binary. More specifically here, a programming language and community can be in a very large number of nuanced states besides "dead" and "alive".
