LXD is an open source system container and virtual machine manager
written in Go.
It provides a very easy way to manage a variety of instances, be it
locally on a single system or over a large set of systems clustered
together.

Its simple and secure REST API makes it easy to manage regardless of
where it's running and is used by a variety of 3rd party deployment
tools.
