Parent article: The SCO lawsuit, 20 years later

What is the status of the lawsuit today? I recall that it dragged on long after Groklaw ended.

The original lawsuit was settled in 2021, so that part is over. Unfortunately though, Xinuos which bought the software assets of SCO, what little there was, has sued IBM and Red Hat in a reiteration of the original lawsuit.

What's this Xinuos thing about anyways?

Some years ago they released what seemed to be a rebadged FreeBSD as "OpenServer 10", but now it's gone from their web site. Nowadays they seem to be just selling their ~20 y/o systems.

I had forgotten that someone is *still* selling OpenServer and UnixWare. God, these were already outdated by the end of the 90s, and I'm guessing this Xinuos hasn't done much to modernise them.
