I remember that Leonard was very active in squashing 2.0.X SMP bugs and I worked with him on several occasions with my deadlock problems. Perhaps the most accessible kernel developer I've ever worked with and certainly a good natured developer. A man much smarter than I, and one who did more than his share of Linux development work. *sigh*

My condolences to his family and friends.
