I'm a Stallman supporter as well, and I'm not right-wing or conservative.

Calling people "truthers" because they hold a view you believe is false or unwarranted is not a useful way to engage.

I also do not think Daniel is alt-right or QAnon. However, a few of his rants wouldn't be surprising in those groups.

For example, he is accusing people of human trafficking and pedophilia, and that's one core belief of QAnon. Granted, he didn't say this was to get adrenochrome or whatever is the current conspiracy, so he is far from being a QAnon person.

Another example, out of all the people he attacked, women are over-represented, especially given the current gender stats in the free software community. If we look at the FSFE case, outside of the president of the FSFE, the only member he attacked was a woman. What are the odds since there is 26 members, and only 4 of them were women ? The same goes for Debian, either attack folks in specific position top (DPL, folks that posted about him), or random women from the community. This kind of misogynistic behavior wouldn't be out of line in alt-right circles.

Last example, he created a fake website to attack Jonathan Cohen, the lawyer that Debian contracted, where displayed his picture with stake of US dollars (website was taken down quite fast). Given that Cohen is a common jewish surname (cf wikipedia), this directly evoke commons antisemitic tropes around greed, and because he did nothing for the lawyers that RH/Fedora contracted, I can't help but wonder.

To be clear, I do not think he did that as a dog whistle, nor that he harbor explicit antisemitism, he has a track record of being on the underdog side for various things, so I doubt he went full fascist. And since conspiracy theories derived from those tropes are common, he could perfectly just not be aware of the problem or missed it.

However, to someone who is attentive at this kind of things, I can see how he could be perceived as a alt-right supporter. But that do not mean he is one, especially since he is not in the USA nor have a cultural connection to it.
