My employer is a UK multinational (linkedin if you want to know who :-) and although we use Google Mail, I suspect it's physically and legally located in the EU or Britain.
Certainly, BigQuery has both European and US data silos AND THE TWO CAN'T TALK TO EACH OTHER. Causes me some grief as the company is migrating its legacy silos (US-based) to European silos, and as my job involves using both datasets, it's not pleasant ... :-)
