This is a serious question, but are there really any other server platforms besides Linux used in the real world anymore? At a scale that matters? If so, are there a half dozen?

Windows is highly relevant as a server platform.

Not really. It's been relegated to a few legacy areas (AD controllers, Exchange servers, etc.)
