Krita 5.0 released

Version 5.0 of the Krita painting program has been released. "This is a huge release, with a lot of new features and improvements". Changes include a reworked resource system, dithered gradients, faster color management, a reworked animation subsystem, and more; see the release notes for details.

I'm so glad we got this out _this year_! Parts of this release have been in the works since 2015, which is obviously insane...

A very nice gift for my wife who keeps trying tools since see started making animation on a Amiga.

Dithered gradients... that's a feature annoyingly absent in everything besides GIMP until now. In the days when people still made websites with tables and spacer gifs, you could easily tell when the header graphics were made in certain proprietary apps because they had a characteristic ugly, colour-distorting banding on all the gradients.
