Torvalds put it back then, paraphrasing: "I don't care who sends the code as long as it's useful and is up to our quality standards". So, I agree with him here: why should I care who is the code author?
Wasn't that the code that had the infamous 0xB16B00B5 in it? Perhaps not the best example of people you'd want to work with in a professional environment.
