Yes, and that's why the book "Concurrency: the Works of Leslie Lamport" was published by ACM in October 2019. https://dl.acm.org/doi/book/10.1145/3335772
Really worth to read.

There are very few computer scientists who are as important, where ACM published such a book. That said, I'm still waiting on the book "the works of Don Knuth" that goes beyond his work on TACP and TeX and also values his introduction of attribute grammars and loads of other principles. His recent opinion peace https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3442377 in CACM about the way computing history should be researched is also worth a read, even and especially if one doesn't agree with his approach.
