What is at:
===========

gi8k is a small Gnome applet that reads the CPU temperature and fan
speeds on Dell laptops. It also allows direct control over the fans by
simply clicking on the applet.  gi8k used the GAI library.

What's new:
===========

This version has minor bug fixes.
 + Will not crash on installations where the kernel's Dell laptop
   extensions (i8k) doesn't work properly.  However, still just gives
   bogus readings in these situations (I've only heard of one case).
 + Compiles with kernel 2.6. (tested with Mandrake 10 only)
