I don't think "Oops, we added sensitive information to the code" lets one ignore the conditions of a copyright licence, which one is obliged to follow.

They'd have to remove that information, in whatever way.

I think that during the last round of obfuscation (when RH switched to providing one giant kernel patch) the consensus was that it's OK from the legal standpoint?

Is merely adhering to the letter of the law enough for a supposedly community focused organization?
