I have several systems with known IPv6 addresses. But instead of static configuration I use a "token." This replaces the MAC address in the SLAAC process. So, for example I use NetworkManager ipv6.token = ::5 and the final address is 2603:300b:8c5::5. Feel free to ping it if you can, it is ry-zan.zlynx.org.

If Comcast renumbers my IPv6 prefix that system will be at ::5 wherever it goes. I would need to update the public DNS AAAA records manually.
