(Should it be /usr/games/tetris, or is there an actual utility called "tetris" which I have not heard of?)

It just means someone is not working as hard as he should... and that he is a bit of a masochist trying to run a very unstable app or an addicted rage-quitter

It should be /usr/games/gtetrinet!

(Sadly, gtetrinet seems to be abandoned.)

No, no. /usr/games/xtris. This is also abandoned, so you need to carry xtris_1.15-9_amd64.deb around with you. It'll fit nicely on a USB stick as it's only 78K[1] big.
