Please stop with this elitist nonsense.

I work at a large investment bank, which is a heavily regulated industry and the Operations are very paranoid that you could accidentally "wall-cross" some sensitive material information (this is within the company, not even leaking it outside!) which means that the working environment is tightly controlled and this means Windows and Outlook. (Which nowadays is not the steaming pile of dung I expected it to be.) I don't love it, but don't you dare tell me that some thing is wrong with *me*.

P.S. We do quite a bit of contributions to Free Software. Some was created within the company and shared with the world.

Ever noted that people insert screenshot cut-outs in mails sent with MS Outlook ?
If so, on reception, ever saved the image from the mail and found that it shows the whole screenshot? Not good, not in a tightly controlled environment, not good anywhere.

Sorry, I can't decide whether this classifies as a straw man or a red herring. Probably both.

(FWIW it never happens here. We have a separate snipping tool which recognizes that corporate users absolutely *love* screenshotting. Not that clueless cropping was ever a problem.)
