This is the final call for proposals for the 3 day networking track at the Linux Plumbers Conference; the deadline is Friday, August 2. LPC will take place September 9-11 in Lisbon, Portugal. "Any kind of advanced networking-related topic will be considered."
linux.conf.au proposal deadline extended
For those didn't quite get around to putting in a proposal for linux.conf.au 2020 (Gold Coast, January 13 to 17), there's another chance: the proposal deadline has been extended to August 11. "We have heard that some of you would like a bit more time to submit your proposals for linux.conf.au 2020. So, we have decided to extend the due date by two weeks to help everyone have a chance to submit."

DebConf19 closes in Curitiba and DebConf20 dates announced
The Debian project looks back the recently concluded DebConf, the annual Debian Developers and Contributors Conference. "The actual Debian Developers Conference started on Sunday 21 July 2019. Together with plenaries such as the the traditional 'Bits from the DPL', lightning talks, live demos and the announcement of next year's DebConf (DebConf20 in Haifa, Israel), there were several sessions related to the recent release of Debian 10 buster and some of its new features, as well as news updates on several projects and internal Debian teams, discussion sessions (BoFs) from the language, ports, infrastructure, and community teams, along with many other events of interest regarding Debian and free software."
