Red Hat reports another good quarter

Red Hat has announced its fourth quarter/year end results. Revenue was $37 million in the quarter, resulting in net income of $5 million. Over the last year, the company's bank balance has gone from $292 million to $941 million; $500 million of that will be from bond sales (though the PR does not mention that); the rest is from cash flow.

Not bad for a company who didn't know how to make a profit (and frankly, no one else knew how to make money [profit] from Open Source).

Soon, Red Hat will have $1 billion in the bank.. ;)

Yeah right!

Say what you like, but you have to recognize that Red Hat
was one of the first to make a $Buck off of free software.

Jim Ready of MVista saw that idea through, as well...

Even a company like Wind River had to recognize that
and finally came around !!!
