Kernel release status

The current development kernel is 4.18-rc1, which was released on June 17. Linus Torvalds said: "This release looks fairly regular - both in size and in behavior. We actually have managed to shrink things a bit more this release too, as people have clearly gotten excited about the whole 'let's remove old unused code'."

Stable updates: The 4.17.2, 4.16.16, 4.14.50, 4.9.109, and 4.4.138 stable kernels were released on June 16. They were followed by 4.16.17 and 4.14.51 on June 20. There are no stable releases under review at the time of this writing.
