"pygtk-posting" has no provisions for split ledger entries (i.e. entries on more than two accounts).

This is one of the things Gnucash gets right. Check out their transaction/split data structure.

NB: you might want to "git push" the code …

Uhm... just to clarify, I am not looking for more work. I have a lot of features I would like to implement that I would use, not counting all the features people have already told me I should add ;-)

I posted here because it seemed like this is a fairly recent conversation. I thought maybe some of these people would be interested in helping and/or collaborating.
