This detailed follow-up, connecting all the myriad pieces of this story, and providing detailed supporting evidence to show how the various parties involved have acted, is exactly the kind of thing I come to LWN for. I've described LWN in the past as "the next best thing to reading LKML", but really, in this case, it's collating information from a dozen places.
