I like how the table of contents is working out!
I wonder if making the links points into the main page, rather than to separate pages, would be a good thing. I cannot quite decide.
What I would like to see is the "brief items" and "announcements" listed in this main table of contents, rather in that auxiliary one at the end.

When reading in "bigpage" format, it would be less astonishing if the links jumped forward to page anchors rather than going to a separate page.

I agree! Especially because one doesn't see those links at all on this page [0] as opposed to this one [1], which I found a bit confusing. But thanks, the TOC is otherwise very helpful, and I'm enjoying the new format!

The internal links idea had crossed my mind, but a bit late to try for this week. I do think it might be a better way to go.

I actually find the direct article links useful as I can instantly see I've already read some articles this week. But I can totally appreciate the desire for internal links too.
