Thanks for the insight from the "other side" - and I share your pain, I've been on both sides, as many of us I guess.
But I think the point of Harald's talk was that what was thought to be on "this side" is apparently working for the "other side", and that it's a bit scary.
I'd like to know what e.g. Greg has to say about this (I know you read LWN Greg).
