Discourse 1.6 is available

Version 1.6 of the Discourse online discussion framework has been released. Highlighted new features include a full-thread vertical timeline widget that provides an always-visible overview of the discussion , a way to merge several small posts into a single message after they have been published, and a mechanism to take threads off of the public board and into a private conversation. This release also comes after the project went through two independent security tests, although the full fruits of that work may still be to come.
