People not bothering about licenses and copyright might not be a sign of "we like copyright", but can also be a sign of "we consider copyright totally irrelevant". An even stronger statement than copyleft licenses, in effect saying "you can use my software, if you ignore the law".

We can probably thank copyright maximalists (particularly the RIAA and MPAA) for this blowback.
