I think you are correct. This is new information to me. I now understand that the Linux Foundation is no longer interested having people like me as a member. Message received, I will look elsewhere.

Take that $99 to the FSF or the SFLC or some other organization working on behalf of free software creators and users.

FYI, FSFE gives you @fsfe.org email alias should you miss @linux.com one. SFC gives you a t-shirt should you miss LF one (but if you're anything like me you got plenty of them from conferences. FSF, on the other hand, gives you Freenode host mask.

Additionally, FSFE gives you an OpenPGP smartcard, and all three of them give you the warm fuzzy feeling of having helped somebody who is actively working for the benefit of society.
