Stable kernels 4.2.3 and 4.1.10

Greg Kroah-Hartman has released the 4.2.3 and 4.1.10 stable kernels. The fix for the deadlocks reported for 4.1.9 did not make it into 4.1.10. As usual, these stable kernels contain fixes throughout the tree.

How come "fix for the deadlocks reported for 4.1.9 did not make it into 4.1.10" ?

Are those a corner case, or too hard to merge ? I doubt Greg would chose not to merge them otherwise.

It seems that Greg missed this patch for the known issue during merging.

Which fix is that? (I was hitting 'cpu stuck' deadlocks with 4.1.10 yesterday)

Yes, it's exactly that : CPU soft lockup.
