Auditory icon theme 3d available

At the Emacspeak blog, T.V. Raman announced the initial release of 3d, a new "auditory icon" theme for the Emacspeak audio desktop environment, created with CSound. "CSound is a sophisticated music sound synthesis system with a strong community of developers. I've played off and on with CSound ever since the early 90's and have always been intrigued by the possibility of algorithmically creating new auditory icon themes for Emacspeak using CSound."

I may not be an Emacs user, but great news! Sound cues are a heavily neglected area of UI design and it's refreshing to see this level of attention to detail.

emacspeak targets blind users, thus sound cues are not meant as a complement to visual cues.
