I look forward to the day that someone starts writing driver subsystems in eBPF. I am sure it will be the day after someone puts the embedded brainfuck engine into the kernel.

NetBSD has LuaJIT in the kernel. And they do use it for drivers.

Which is actually a really great idea. Although I'd prefer Rust...
