and UUIDs have a similar problem. You can't just clone a drive any longer or the system gets confused. If you replace one drive with another, the UUIDs aren't going to match and the system won't know what to do with it.

The great thing here is that this is useful for some people, and others are still free to ignore it and mount by path when that works better for them.

Yes, ever had a split-raid1-problem? Two disks with filesystems on them, with all the UUIDs the same. Fun...

That bug has been fixed now, but yes, I've had it ... three drives, two arrays, 1 UUID ...
