and every time people like you say this, you are ignoring the people who are saying "this isn't a problem for me", "I've done what I need to do" and similar.
The problem with this is that many of those people who happen to have solved problem X to their own satisfaction may not be exposed to problem Y that other people have, or they have so far ignored problem Z that they do have but that hasn't bitten them yet. So they think that a tool that solves problems X, Y and Z is way overengineered, complicated, and unnecessary, hence not worth bothering with, even though to other people the solutions it provides for problems Y and Z are also useful and important, and the value of having one common and consistent approach that helps everybody is also not to be discounted. (Note that from a practical point of view it usually makes more sense to address problems and shortcomings in the modern, common and consistent, approach than to “fix” problems and shortcomings in the traditional fragmented and haphazard setup by making that even more complicated.)
