Oh, no, the troll at the top had some signal: he mentioned that comments had been deleted, something which is extremely rare here on LWN. That should be worth a few bits of Shannon information.

It's the deleted comments which had zero signal, or at least the one I saw before it was deleted. It was so bad that my first reaction was to look for a "report" button, and once I remembered where I was to think "it's a pity that corbet doesn't delete comments here".

A certain forum that I'm a member of had, at some point, too many discussions about deleted messages. Thus a rule was set: you only discuss deletion of comments in one specific "Policy" discussion.
