Gamut clipping in darktable 1.6

The top image shows that a considerable number of pixels are incorrectly interpreted as black under the default settings. In fact, they are a highly saturated blue: activating the new input-profile gamut-clipping feature on the right-hand side of the window corrects this problem, as shown in the lower image.
