It's a kernel that even the lead developer himself called bloated and that does *way* too much by any objective measure. I know that you understand this perfectly well, and I trust you also know that systemd consists of several dozens of binaries and that the BSDs are all developed in an integrated fashion. So please, take your doublethink somewhere else.
