uhm... did you ever point to public discussion or a bug report about the issue anything with archived discussion over the issue with developers?

I'm trying to remember. When you brought this up originally here at LWN you said you were asked to keep quiet about it. I obviously can't dispute that.

But it's hard to judge for myself if the handling the high performance logging issue was inappropriately if the entire conversation concerning the tradeoff is happening outside of normal archived discussion channels.

So outside of discussion here in lwn... is there archived discussion on the matter that you can point to now? If you provided a reference previously and I've forgotten it, I apologize for asking you to re-reference. I just can't find it in the previous lwn discussion. All i'm getting is your description of the problem, and 3rd hand commentary on how you think its going to be resolved by other parties using liblogging or some such.
