License.

DJB is a proponent of free software, but his license sucked.

Daemontools README:
> Copyright 2001
> D. J. Bernstein
> http://cr.yp.to/daemontools.html

This gives you absolutely no rights. Not to use, to modify or to distribute.

6 years later in http://cr.yp.to/distributors.html:
> 2007.12.28: I hereby place the daemontools package (in particular, daemontools-0.76.tar.gz, with MD5 checksum 1871af2453d6e464034968a0fbcb2bfc) into the public domain. The package is no longer copyrighted.

This was to late. Everyone knew by than daemontools is nice but the lawyers say: no way.
