Drop systemd-shim and other legacy bits and their support that needs dropping and go for a full systemd only integration, migrate what needs to be migrated and bear in mind that the timer units are only relevant to bootup,udev,unit startup,suspend,shutdown so if your component does not already depend on systemd but ships an cron job it should not be migrated.
( There seems to be some frantic motivation migrate every cron job to timer units which is just silly and adds dependency on systemd where there should be none )

We all know that this yet another stunt by Ian is going to distract Debian's maintainers from preparing Jesse by forcing them to be debating this for atleast 2 weeks if not more and it would be a shame if Martin Pitt recent work [1] patching 215 in Ubuntu and reviewing some of Debian's patches cleaning them up in preparation for upstreaming would some how be stalled because of this political stunt of his.
