Pirate this, go to jail (News.com)

News.com reports on the latest anti-copying bill from Senator Joseph Biden. ""The world is moving toward closed digital rights management systems where you may need approval to run programs," says David Wagner, an assistant professor of computer science at the University of California at Berkeley. "Both Palladium and TCPA incorporate features that would restrict what applications you could run.""

Hello. Greetings from France.
So please excuse me for my bad english.

I agree about anti-piracy claims, but it's now a pityful plea for Micro$oft to gain sales.

In short, use the latest version of Windows, or be jailed.
It seems that M$ has bought the US gov. (and deputies).

Who thinks now America is still a Democraty ?
Welcome into the Banana Republic of America. :((

oh no no no. This is perfect.

As it becomes more and more unmanageable to install and run legally purchased programs, as it becomes more and more difficult to do things like make backups and restore them-- or open your data file with a text editor, or find out about security flaws in proprietary software, this is how open-source software will become a serious option on the desktop.

Or maybe I should stock up on pencils...
