The future of realtime Linux in doubt

The technical discussions are always interesting, but the final question is still, how can we help? or, should be Linux Foundation do something about it since RT is actually an essential part in the Linux ecosystem?
Maybe kernel.org should have a 'support' button to collect some funds for projects like this?
