FWIW, Also count me in as one who will gladly subscribe. I also just created this account so I could say this...

I'd have no problem with $5/month. Heck I could probably be talked into $5/week so long as the wife doesn't find out :-)

This is a valuable Linux resource. LWN gives a voice to the open source community. Rational voices speak here. Concise summaries and lucid commentary are always found at LWN. It would be a great loss if all that went away.

Hello LWN Team

I am a grad student at University of Maryland and LWN is *the* place where I come to read the latest news about Linux. I am really sorry that LWN has had to think about closing shop. I would be willing to subscribe to LWN without any qualms.

Thanks for all your efforts and I am hoping that they will continue.
