If it doesn't matter, I can't help but wonder why you felt the need to express your dislike for systemd at all.

I think he dislikes systemd the way I dislike Red Hat.

It's irrational, I know it's irrational, therefore I don't make a fuss over it. I just make a personal point of avoiding Red Hat as much as I can. Unfortunately for him, avoiding systemd is likely to be hard.

And Poettering IS a difficult person to get on with, if you don't like teutonic abrasiveness. "I just don't like so-and-so" is a perfectly acceptable statement, provided you accept that it's "just personal" and don't make a fuss about it. I suspect I'd get along with Lennart pretty fine, because I'm pretty pedantic and logic-focussed, and if we argued one of us would win by persuading the other. But when it gets down to gut feelings, you can't win arguments that way. You have to agree to differ, and that can be hard.
