In my opinion, both upstart and systemd are complex and hard to understand. But it's clear that simple solutions don't cut it anymore. So I'm glad that systemd won't be a one man show anymore. It would get more attention, it would get more documentation and hopefully more utilities to support it. A good GUI program can do a great job explaining the concepts of the underlying software.

I'm using Fedora at home and Ubuntu at work, and both aspects of me are happy :)

I'm having trouble parsing this statement. What definition of "anymore" are you using?
