I don't think there'll be a GR to try to override the init choice. There is some noise on debian-devel in the aftermath of the decision, but not from DDs. And those making the noise are proposing to stay with sysv!

Frankly, I think everyone's a bit tired of debate. The T v L discussion isn't likely to get as emotional, so hopefully the TC can deal with it quickly (well, Debian-quickly).

Well, systemd is basically a rewrite of upstart, fixing those problems which were found with upstart, without CLA, and with more features. There is little reason to be enthusiastic about upstart over systemd, as I see it.

So if you don't like change, then of course you prefer sysvinit

From skimming the discussion on debian-devel, the it is more like "rants" rather than "arguments" in favor of sysv. Certainly no serious discussion of sponsoring a GR to overturn the systemd decision.
