The Debian technical committee vote concludes

There's certainly a bunch of value I've been able to get out of it on some Wheezy boxes, even though it's a very old and not terribly featureful version os systemd: ripping out start-stop-daemon wrappers for sysvinit-not-supplied services and putting them into unit files, adding *.mount dependencies for services I want to stay down if the system isn't in the right state at boot time and so forth.
